Step 4

Who Are You Talking To?

If you haven’t worked on your ideal customer before, this is a really useful exercise—even if you think you already know. Getting clear on who you’re speaking to helps Inkie write content that connects, not just fills space.

Think of it less like building a corporate customer avatar, and more like describing a real person you’d love to help.

Inkie Imp will guide you through creating one (or more) profiles that cover:

  • Who they are and what stage they’re at

  • What they care about (and what they struggle with)

  • What they’re searching for or trying to achieve

  • How your product or service fits into their life

You don’t need to be super specific with stats—no need to guess their exact age or income bracket unless it’s relevant. What matters most is understanding what motivates them and what they need from you.

If you already have customer profiles or examples of past clients you loved working with, you can copy and paste those in instead.
